Kubota Brabender Technologie exhibits at K 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany for the first time as a combined company
K 2022 Review
It was the first time as Kubota Brabender Technologie, it was the first showcase featuring the combined global service and sales network, and for many people, it was the first opportunity to get to know one another in person following the merger in June 2022.
K 2022, the world's most important trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, provided new "company" Kubota Brabender Technologie with the platform for several premieres.
A great deal had happened in the last three exhibition-less years. Opportunities for personal meetings were severely limited anyway, not least due to the two-year Corona pandemic. So last fall, plastics trade fair K turned out to be the long-awaited opportunity to communicate at multiple levels and about a wide range of topics.
Topic 1: One Company
Both internally and externally: the merger last fall, which not only brought both companies enormous synergy gains, but also transformed the newly created "One Company" into a genuine global player. "We become one company and we are excited about serving more customers throughout the world," is how Managing Director Hideki Saiki describes this move at the opening of the trade fair.
Expertise on broad shoulders
Japan-based Kubota Corporation, with its broad spectrum of business areas, will significantly expand the market for both players, while Brabender Technologie will be able to make headway in the feeding systems segment, above all with its enormous technical expertise.
As a combined company, Kubota and Brabender Technologie will build on these solid foundations to grow their gravimetric and volumetric feeder business in a targeted and global way in the future.
K 2022 Impressions
New markets, new impulses
The first objective for Kubota Brabender Technologie will be to communicate and market the benefits derived from the aforementioned synergy gains to existing and new customers, and then ultimately to back them up by developing new products.
Bruno Dautzenberg, Managing Director of Brabender Technologie, sees all the relevant requirements met. "The strengths of Kubota Corporation in the Asian market dovetail superbly with our technology, our technical expertise and our existing service and sales network in European and American markets."
A look at the Kubota Brabender Technologie booth confirmed this optimistic assessment: like K as a whole, it was not only surprisingly well visited, but also characterized by people from both companies engaged in conversation with each other.
Virtually all employees from both the domestic and international sales teams present were therefore delighted with the "strong, proud show" put on by the new company at its first joint trade fair. "One Company" plans will be firmed up further with the first sales meeting in Asia in January 2023 and a planned service seminar in Asia in summer 2023.
Topic 2: Product Development
The DDSR20 2.0 as an OEB version (Occupational Exposure Bands) and the modular equipment generation 2.0. At product level, the focus of Kubota Brabender Technologie's K showcase was clear: on the one hand, there was the newly developed, dust-tight OEB version of the DDSR20 2.0 twin screw feeder, at what is currently the highest OEB Level 5, which had already been unveiled at Powtech in Nuremberg.
Also on show: the new NX-T12 and NX-T26 gravimetric feeders from Kubota. They complement the Kubota Brabender Technologie product portfolio with their innovative design and a wide range of applications. However, the absolute focus was on all exhibits that have already been relaunched as second equipment generations. From RotoTube to MiniTwin and the DDSR40 2.0 twin screw feeder.
The modular equipment generation has enabled us to achieve great flexibility in our standard ranges. Consistently implementing a modular philosophy has delivered a very high degree of equipment portfolio flexibility, by cleverly combining standard components used for different sizes of feeder.Jürgen Knez, Head of Mechanical Product Development at Kubota Brabender Technologie
